Different Techniques of Lab Report Writing Resume

Different Techniques of Lab Report Writing ResumeLab report writing resumes can be useful tools in filling important positions at businesses. It is not that this particular writing style does not belong on the resume but it should be accompanied by the quality and professionalism. This method of resume submission will be offered and relied upon if you have a strong interest in writing. There are many different kinds of this type of writing that could be used in making your own document. The first step in getting one is to search for samples of it online. When you come across these samples, you may want to add your writing style to those documents and create a unique style. However, there are some requirements that need to be present for you to put your thoughts to paper in an effective way.Attention: Attention will be the first thing that is necessary for this writing style. In order to give a specific impression of your writing style, you need to be able to catch people's attention a t once. This means that you will need to show how much attention you pay to your job in the sense of formulating and executing ideas. In order to do this you will need to utilize all of your senses and include visuals, pictures, writing, and your own voice as well.Style: The style you use will depend on the medium in which the project is published. For example, if the project is being written down on paper or even if it is being used online there are still different styles that need to be applied. The next step in getting one is to research on the available styles of this kind of writing and incorporate these into your own style.Format: The format will also depend on the medium used in which the document is going to be presented. Again, the style you need will depend on the details in the document that will be given to the employers for consideration. If the document is already prepared and can be given to the person whom you are applying for, then you will need to simply show them how to properly format it.Ease of reading: If the document is supposed to be very informative, it needs to be easy to read. In order to do this, the format should also be easy and straightforward. Again, if the document is already prepared then you will not need to modify it any further.Attention to detail: This is also something that is needed for the same reason as the above mentioned. The content needs to be clear and precise to be able to convince the person who will be reviewing it. In order to do this, make sure that you write well and also that you read and re-read your previous writings. In conclusion, lab report writing resumes can be used as another means of giving attention to your writing style. You just need to show more information and show that you have the ability to handle the materials. You can also add photos, colors, and other resources so that you can improve the look of your own resume.

What should you ask an employer at the end of a job interview

What should you ask an employer at the end of a job interview When do I go to the top of the pay scalecan I leave early on a Friday afternoon…when can I expect to take over from you? On reflection, probably not the most appropriate questions to pose when the employer asks you if you have any questions at the end of an interview but what should you ask? A boarding school head teacher sparked controversy last month when he revealed that an applicant for a teaching post had asked him Why should I work for you? at the end of his interview. The interviewer didnt event attempt to answer the candidates question and informed him that he wouldnt be working for him! Perhaps the employer may have responded more positively if he had been asked why he enjoyed working for the school. Or how he would have described the schools culture and ethos, which perhaps may have been the applicant’s intention. This incident does emphasise however how important it is to firstly, ask questions (as failing to do so may suggest a lack of interest and enthusiasm). But secondly, to ask the right question. The situation referred to highlights how a badly worded or inappropriate question can leave a negative impression and create doubt in the employers mind that you are the best candidate. Effective questions at the end of the interview may help to convince the employer of your suitability and that you would be a good fit. But remember that it is also an opportunity to inform your decision about whether or not to accept a job offer. The interview is a two way process and there may be something you wish to clarify to reassure you that this is actually a job you want. Having established the importance of asking questions, how many should you ask? A good rule of thumb is to prepare 3-5 questions in advance. Of course there may be other, more relevant questions that arise for you during the course of the interview, but having some ready in advance will help you feel confident and prepared. What are the type of questions that can create the right impression? What makes people successful in this role? Any question that suggests interest and ambition is a good one and with this question you are demonstrating both. It should also provide further insight into the skills and attributes that are required, in addition to the requirements identified in the person specification and job description. How would you describe the work culture in your firm? Culture  is something that is difficult to define but nonetheless important in finding a role that provides job satisfaction. Work cultures differ significantly according to the industry applied to and gaining insight and understanding it will help you make a realistic decision as to the type of environment where your skills and personality can flourish. If your values and attitudes align with your employers, you are more likely to be happier in your work and believe in what you do. Can I go back to that earlier question on? If   there was a question that you felt you could have answered more effectively, why not ask the employers permission to revisit it? Saying, I think this is a better example of a time where I demonstrated my problem-solving ability, for example, shows confidence and the self-awareness that you recognised you could have provided a more convincing answer earlier in the interview. What challenges do you expect to face in this industry/organisation in the future?   If you are  commercially aware  and are confident that you understand the business and its clients and services/products, this question offers an opportunity to showcase this. You could respond to the employers perspective with your analysis and interpretation of the research you have done prior to interview Can I ask why you like working here?   This isnt an intrusive question and it will create a positive impression to take an interest in the interviewer, who may well be a future colleague. Their answer may also be instructive and reveal another positive aspect of the working environment that wasnt apparent on the company website. What would you expect the successful candidate to achieve in the first 6/12 months?   This could be another way to clarify the employers expectations and objectives. Your response to the employers answer to this question could be another opportunity to highlight your potential and suitability for the job role, Your expectation that the successful candidate will provide analysis and insight is interesting. During my internship last summer one of my tangible achievements was to   What are the opportunities for further training and promotion?     Although this type of question may feel a little predictable, showing interest in your personal and professional development is important. It shows the interviewer that you are someone that wants to make a long term commitment and that you are someone they can invest in Do you have any concerns about hiring me? This may seem a slightly risky question. Why introduce an element of doubt in the employers mind if you feel you have made a positive impression up to that point?   Nick Duncombe (Resource Manager from PlayGround Games in Leamington), provides a different take on the value of this question from the recruiters perspective however. This is a great end of interview question.  It’s bold, but if the interviewer has any doubts it gives you the opportunity to answer those concerns directly.   So the questions you ask can be just as important as the questions you answer. Make sure that you prepare in advance and consider the following when deciding what questions to ask will the questions you ask help to convince the employer that you can do the job, that you will fit and that you are motivated?

13+ Candidate Sourcing Tips Tools You Should Be Trying

13+ Candidate Sourcing Tips Tools You Should Be Trying Regardless of how established your candidate sourcing methods are, theres no denying that recruiting technology is moving at lightning speed and the best recruiters are the ones who constantly work to stay ahead of the pack. Instead of scouring page after page of reviews on tools  and processes, why not read what our panel of expert recruiters have to say? James Nathan The most excellent tool I now have and teach is not actually a piece of technology, but a skill using a technology which is X-Ray searching of LinkedIn. We all know that LinkedIn is the database that everybody owns, but the ability to look into it deeper and better, with less restrictions is something quite magical. X-Raying allows you to search the entire LInkedIn database with out extra cost, and without limit on number of searches or number of results. Fantastic stuff. James Nathan  is  Founder of The James Nathan Experience Caroline Stokes Now that Facebook is back in the recruiting game, so this new technology is being evaluated right now. It’s a LinkedIn beater, for sure. But would I like someone approaching me on Facebook about a job? No. Only time will tell if Facebook will get it right this time. They usually do when they focus on a market segment hard enough. Caroline Stokes  is Founder of FORWARD Angela Bortolussi This year for me was about trying out new sourcing tools but also getting back to basics. Yes, tools like Hiretual Candidate.ai, even Hubspot made frequent appearances during my sourcing activity although products such as these supported with my increase in viewing candidate LinkedIn profiles I checked out sites that many of us (recruiters) rarely think to use http://www.etools.ch/search.do http://www.cvfox.com/ Angela Bortolussi is Partner at  Recruiting Social Chad MacRae I’m loving the RelinkLabs’ job title research for recruiters tool. It gives you hiring data insights â€" when you put in a job title, it gives you the most important skills for that role type in an easy to read visualization. It will tell you the most likely previous position that they were in, so you can look for people who are ready for a promotion. And, it will tell you the likely educational background and the  average length of time in a position, so you can know if you’re using your time wisely when sourcing. Chad MacRae is Founder of Recruiting Social David Morel We have added extra functionality to our Tiger app, which allows candidates who have registered with Tiger to update their temp availability. The app communicates with our CRM system in real-time and increases the efficiency of our temp consultants allowing them to fill bookings quicker than ever before. David Morel  is CEO Founder of Tiger Recruitment Lysha Holmes . I am fortunate enough that my CRM system is bespoke so I can adapt the technology whenever I want to. I am a social media addict so I am more interested in what the latest app is that spending money on tools. Lysha Holmes  is Founder of Qui Recruitment Iain Hamilton I am now a certified partner of CandidateID and can provide CandidateID as SaaS or an outsourced talent generation platform. CandidateID allows companies to take a total addressable market view and then to understand every interaction a candidate takes with their brand. By having this intelligence you can see exactly, the content, and which stages of your process impact upon a hire positively and negatively. This intel allows you to pinpoint the people that are ready to hire and those that need more educating around your business. I was stoked when CandidateID asked me to be a certified partner. Iain Hamilton is Founder of People Traction Bronwen Hann For us, what’s old is new again. There are always new ATS and ways of aggregating social media during your searches, but what works long-term is the ability to build relationships. For us the phone is still the best tool to further that goal, so we’re refocusing on that venerable technology and trying to make it newly relevant in our business. It’s valuable to source through social media, but the best way to source is by having conversations with your network â€" finding out what’s driving their careers, who they know who is active on the market, etc. Recruiters who can harness this will always have an advantage. Bronwen Hann is  President   Senior Partner at Argentus Supply Chain Recruiting Billy Smith Hunter, a Chrome extension that we use with both LinkedIn and websites. Hunter allows us to find email addresses instantly for a domain whilst also finding email addresses for LinkedIn profiles allowing us to provide a more personalised approach when headhunting or sourcing new business instead of getting lost amongst InMails. Another tool we use is Sidekick, a piece of software allowing us to know when someone has opened an email. Billy Smith  is Managing Director at FGS Recruitment Adam Glassman A robust CRM. We started adding talent networks a few years back, but very few offered a good way to connect and really get to know your members (candidates). Now, there are several good options out there that allow recruiters to connect to candidates, build relationships with them, learn their likes/dislikes over time, engage and nurture those candidates so that when the right req opens, you have the perfect candidate in mind already. Adam Glassman is Recruitment Strategies Manager at Alorica Dualta Doherty . . We use Canva Hootsuite for social media image creation and scheduling posts however we are always looking for relevant new innovative technologies. Dualta Doherty  is Founder of Pro Recruitment Solutions Gill Buchanan We’re always reviewing how updates in technology can help us to continue providing a fast and easy application process. Mobile Devices, Kids, and School Mix With Caution!

Mobile Devices, Kids, and School Mix With Caution! In todays connected and internet-dependent world, its no longer a question of whether your children should or shouldnt have a mobile device at school.  Reality is that they do, and in ever-increasing numbers.  By the time they reach middle school (6th through 8th grade), 83% have a phone and 53% have internet access.  And theyre spending an average of six hours every day glued to it. Considering that in 2000, virtually no children of that age had their own phone, thats a dramatic social and cultural change.  Its added a new challenge to parenting, particularly when children are out of direct parental supervision at school.  Obviously, you want your kids to have all the advantages possible to help them learn and grow. But there is a growing number of dangers posed by internet and social media access.  How does one balance the benefit with the need to protect them?  Heres a look at some of the issues, and some possible solutions, to managing mobile devices, kids, and school. The Shocking Truth About Kids and The Internet Children, especially younger children, are very impressionable.  Theyre forming habits and world views that will affect if not define much of the rest of their lives.  So its critical that, as a parent, youre aware of the risks to kids having internet access through smartphones, tablets, and laptops.  Keep in mind that many of these risks are far more relevant to a child than a mature adult.  So dont be too hasty in dismissing what might seem trivial to you from an adult perspective. Consider just these three major concerns: Social Media Much of the time spent online by adolescent and pre-adolescent children is on various social media.  Remember, children are at a stage when social acceptance is a top need and priority.  So from their perspective, more is better.  Thats why its so common so find that they have hundreds, sometimes even thousands, of friends.  With that comes the need to connect and interact.  But how can that kind of social activity be bad, you may be asking. As Victoria Dunckley M.D. points out in a Psychology Today article, heres why: Social media was not designed for them.   While you start teaching responsible use of tech now,  know that you will not be able to teach the maturity that social media requires. Social media is an entertainment technology. It does not make your child smarter or more prepared for real life or a future job; nor  is it necessary for healthy social development. It is pure entertainment attached to a  marketing  platform. A tweens “more is better” mentality  is a dangerous match for social media.  Social media allows (and encourages)  them to overdo their friend connections like they tend to overdo other things in their lives. Social media is an addictive form of screen entertainment.  And, like  video game addiction, early use can set up future  addiction  patterns and habits. Social media replaces learning the hard social  work of dealing face-to-face with peers, a skill that they will need to practice to be successful in real life. Social media can cause teens to lose connection with family and instead view “friends” as their foundation. While they need attachments to their friends, they need healthy family attachment more. Social media use  represents lost potential for teens.  It is easy for teens to waste too much of their time and too much of their brain in a digital world. Cyber Bullying With their tendency to spend all that time on social media, its no surprise that the risk of becoming the victim of cyberbulling very real.  Chances are that when you were a kid, your exposure to bullying was quite modest compared to todays childhood experience.  Doubt it?  Heres the startling facts, as reported by NoBullying.com: 25 per cent of teenagers report that  they have experienced repeated bullying  by their cell phone, or on the Internet. 52 per cent of young people report being cyber bullied. 11 per cent of adolescents and teens report that embarrassing or damaging photographs have been taken of them without their knowledge or consent. Of the young people who reported cyberbullying incidents against them, a third reported that their bullies used online threats. 10 per cent of all middle school and high school students have been on the receiving end of  hate terms. 55 per cent of all teens that use social media have witnessed outright bullying online. 95 per cent of teens that witnessed bullying on social media report that others, like them, have ignored the behaviour. Its always been a challenge to monitor bullying, which almost always occurs out of parental view.  And while teachers have always tried, with the advent of the internet and the widespread use of mobile connectivity by children, its now much more difficult. General Security Concerns Kids are invincible. You knew that, right?  So they give little thought to the possible consequences of downloading that cool new app, visiting an interesting website, or even accepting a new connection with a complete stranger.  Childhood innocence is just as real as it ever was, but now there are many more potential violations of that innocence. The most common result is one youve probably already experienced yourself: malware and spyware.  Those invasions of your digital privacy that can be as innocuous as    annoying ad pop-ups on the screen to stealing your personal and financial information, spying on you, or even hijacking your device until a fee is paid to repair it. While its still the norm for kids to think theyre smarter than their parents, its also true that kids in general are far too trusting and gullible.  What you, as an adult, might easily recognize as a red flag they are likely to miss.  And again, when the child and their device is out of your direct supervision, the risk increases exponentially. How To Manage Mobile Devices, Kids, and School Hopefully, what youve read so far has set off your good parenting alarm.  Now, its time to evaluate what you have, and havent, been doing to keep your kids safe.  Heres what you should be doing going forward. Keep up with whats going on.  Twenty years ago, our parents put a block on the adult cable channels.  They knew what was on them and knew which channels we ought not be watching.  Now, we need to know the names of the popular, and new, apps that are constantly in use by kids. Do you know what Snapchat and Facetime are?  You need to. Communicate.   Keep an open dialogue about what theyre doing online, what engaging them.  If you do this from an Im interested come from, as opposed to an authoritative approach, youre likely to have greater success.  Let them feel like they are teaching you, and youll both win. Discuss and use appropriate tools and controls.  There are a variety of ways to control access, both on the device and in cloud security.  Learn and use them.  Some of these you might want to openly discuss with the child, and some you may want to put in place as monitoring tools that help you maintain oversight. What A Good Tool Looks Like One example of a good quality tool weve found is Kaspersky.  Youll find a full review of it here, from ParentZone.org.  In short, it addresses virtually all of the issues outlined.  But heres an even dozen reasons why I think its great: Can be used with smartphones, tablets, Mac and PC For multiple devices For families and individuals Protects against Trojans, worms and phishing and lots more Makes connecting to public WiFi safer by stopping your messages from falling into the wrong hands and keeping  your passwords and personal contact and payment card details locked in a secure vault. Records search history. Automatically alerts you about suspicious malware and whether it has been eliminated Parents can create multiple accounts for their children and adjust the settings accordingly to control what they access on which device and how long they can spend on a device or online. Can also create alerts and be informed about a childs internet usage e.g. when a child has opened a page that is potentially inappropriate. Parents can also identify the location of a device (if that feature is switched on). The app will also warn a parent if a child tries to disable the app. Advice for parents is built into the app to help them help their children learn and understand why some content isnt appropriate. Parenting today includes the responsibility to keep our children safe online, and to teach them the basics of living safely in a digital world.  More than anything, keep the channels of communication open.  If youd like to read more about kids and mobile device safety, Id recommend this guide published by the U.K. Department For Digital, Culture-Media, and Sport

5 Tools for Finding an Office Space for Freelancers CareerMetis.com

5 Tools for Finding an Office Space for Freelancers â€" CareerMetis.com Photo Credit â€" Pixabay.comPlenty of freelancers operate remotely to reduce their overhead expenses and lessen the time it takes to get things going. Most, if not all, of them use online platforms to overcome the distance barrier â€" allowing them to communicate with distant clients and collaborate with other freelancers as if they’re in the same building.evalThanks to the myriad of tools available today, freelancers that fully operate online can be just as productive and successful as brick-and-mortar companies. But if you’re already targeting high-profile clients and work with a small team, then you should consider getting your very own office space and take things up a notch.Below are 5 tools you can use to find your first workplace:1. CraigslistevalCraiglist is one of the first sites you should check for prospective office spaces. It is a popular listing directory for real estate properties, professional services, secondhand goods, job openings, and everything else under the sun. You can filter your search by location or use an external tool like SearchTempest for broader searches. There’s a good chance that you’ll find the ideal workplace with Craigslist in one go. Just be careful of fake listings and do your research on the property first. 2. OfficesFor US-based self-employed professionals and freelancers, you can start with Offices to find your first executive office. The platform also searches temporary workspaces for small companies who are open to office sharing. All of the properties are suited for short-term arrangements, which is useful if you’re trying to avoid expensive monthly fees.Offices.net also allows you to request for “Instant Quotes” by filling in details about your freelancing services â€" such as location, contact information, and team size. This is useful if you’d rather have someone else hunt for a suitable property for your startup.3. LoopNetevalLoopNet is one of the best alternatives to Craigslist if you’re looking for an office space for lease or sale. It includes roughly 800,000 properties across the United States â€" more than enough options to let you find the exact workspace that matches your needs.Just like Craigslist, LoopNet lets you narrow down your search by location as well as specify the type of property you prefer, including but not limited to senior housing, retail stores, and office spaces. Alternatively, you can connect with a certified broker to help you find the best deal for your money.4. LondonOfficeSpace.comUK-based freelancers can depend on LondonOfficeSpace.com â€" a listing site specifically for companies across the pond. Once you find a property that piques your interest, you can book a viewing and request for the price directly from the website.Another advantage of LondonOfficeSpace.com is the amount of details included in each property page. Other than the property’s key features, actual images, and contact information, its location is also marked in the Google Ma ps widget right below.5. ShareDeskevalLastly, ShareDesk is one of the simplest and most straightforward tools you can use for finding on-demand workspaces â€" wherever you are in the world. It allows you to search for shared office spaces or business centers for short-term arrangements. Everything else, from payments to customer support, can be done through the website as well. One of the biggest advantages of ShareDesk is that it covers a total of 440 cities in different countries across the globe. It is, however, not the most cost-effective platform if you need a workplace for the long-term.evalFINAL WORDSHaving your own office is a great milestone that indicates growth. Not only will it help you impress prospective clients, it will also help you boost collaboration if you work with a team. Hopefully, the tools above helped you find the ideal office space that reflects your brand as a freelancer.

Get Inside Your Recruiters Head

Get Inside Your Recruiters Head The best executive resume format can help you reach recruiters. Imagine the excitement you feel when you’re contacted by a recruiter for the job of your dreams.  If you want to increase the number of contacts you make, it’s important to use the  best executive resume format, as well as an effective cover letter for your resume. Thinking like your recruiter will ensure you understand what they’re looking for and increase the chances they will contact you over the other candidates. Good Searches Are Essential When you post your executive resume bio, you need to make sure it is fully searchable to increase the chances recruiters will find you. In general, blogs can be difficult to search. However, social media sites, such as LinkedIn, are highly searchable. Always fill out your profile as much as possible to ensure your profile will hit more frequently. Be Careful of Your Friends You may think who you’re friends with doesn’t matter, but in the recruiting world, it really does. What your friends say and do on your social media profiles can have a dramatic impact on how recruiters and prospective employers see you. While you don’t have to cut out all of your friends, make sure photos are properly filtered and prevent your friends from posting information about you to your profile. All it takes is one bad post and it can ruin your entire reputation among recruiters and businesses alike. Be a Thought Leader Businesses want employees who are able to think for themselves and will be positive contributors to the workplace. For this reason, it can be invaluable to write articles for your industry, even if you submit them on an unpaid basis. Recruiters often use your name to search for published works that may be attributed to you. This will showcase you as a thought leader in your field and can increase the chances you will be recruited. Do Some Research Just like website content, the best executive resume format is focused on keywords. Many recruiters now use software to look for certain key words or phrases within your  executive resume bio. If they can’t be found, you won’t be contacted. If you aren’t sure which words would be most useful to you, some research into your industry can help. It can also help to post different versions of your resume on various sites and see which ones perform best. Do Your Best It’s not all about your  cover letter and resume. Many recruiters will look within companies for their top performers to attempt to recruit them for bigger and better things. While you can boost your chances by adjusting your resume and cover letter, one of the best things you can do is excel at your job. When you stand out and are recognized, recruiters will take notice.
